I've been so excited to wear darker lipsticks and smokier eyes lately, so today I did this look: shimmery golds and deep brown on my eyes and "fig" lips, the perfect wearable smoky look for going into fall! my inspiration came from this new NARS "And God Created the Woman" palette I got for my birthday! the colors are just gorgeous.
here's what I used:
let's begin:
1 // applied Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse foundation with stippling brush all over face, concealed with L'Oreal Magic Lumi highighter concealer under my eyes, and set it with IT cosmetics Celebration Foundation Illumination in Light.
2 // filled in brows, see my tutorial here. then bronzed/contoured with AVEDA bronzer in Bronze Glow.
3 // applied Milani baked blush in Rose d'oro and primed my eyelids with the NARS Pro-Prime.
4 // beginning with the second lightest shimmery color in the palette [top middle] apply this to the enitre lid not bringing it up into the crease. then, using a crease brush, apply the dark brown shimmery color [bottom middle] to the outter corner, slightly drawing a trianglular shape from the middle of your lid across to the outer corner. with a clean fluffy brush, blend this triangle out really, really well being sure to not drag the color down below your eye lid.
5 // using the same dark brown color on a smaller brush, drag it under the lash line as you would eyeliner, connecting the top lid color to the bottom lash line, and blend out very well. add the lightest shimmery shade [bottom left] into your inner corners and on brow bone for highlighting
6 // add lots of mascara! I'm loving this one by Maybelline.
7 // put on your lipstick! I opted for my current favorite, "Fabulous Fig" by Revlon. this look would be gorgeous with a nude too, but I am loving this transitional red, it's not too deep or dark!
that's it!
Love this look! That lipstick color is perfect for autumn! x
